This site closed down in January 2009 due to numerous bad reviews. Apparently all the chalets were damp, dirty, were infested with insects and had outdated furniture and decor. The site sold in 2011 for £43 million and plans were proposed to turn the land into apartments but met heavy resistance from the local residents and the plans were scrapped. It's now up for sale again.
To say that the place has been closed for 4 years it's virtually untouched... no graffiti and only one broken window that I saw. If it weren't for the height of the grass you'd think the place was only abandoned yesterday!
