Me and man gone wrong visited this in the summer months and was nearby a few months later so checked out some of the other buildings. The site appears to be in two halves, one half is mainly quarry works with just a metal T2 type hangar remaining, we could not gain access to that. But the other half a lot has been retained as a light use industrial estate with lots of buildings restored. But in the woods is the remains of the admin site. And further away is the squadron and flight offices. We were losing the light in the flight offices. Which was a shame as now I know now there is some nice name signs in that block. RAF Rivenhall was opened in 1942 for use by the Americans who flew Mustangs from there. The RAF also used it as well. The site was used till 1956 then MOD sold the land. That's when Marconi took over most of the site and quarry work started rapidly.

Administration block, consisting of office and operations block.

The flight office, I really liked the pastel colours in here. The RAF had some nice colours in their buildings.

Nice shots. A classic local one, fortunate these still survive as I sadly missed the other bits that were demolished by a few months back c2012

Thank you very much. It's nice to see some surviving bits there. Would loved to have seen the rest
