We spent quite a lot of time there in 2018 mopping up what was left and I was surprised how much good stuff was left actually. Back then all the ball powder section was still intact and quite easy to access but once you got over towards Dargavel house it started to get lively. They still use some buildings of factory 2 down to the south east of the house so now theres just factory 3 remains left theres not much room to maneuver between the scraps of derp, construction and the live stuff.

I see quite a few pics coming from here around 18/19 especially the northern end of the site in what is factory two I guess. I am really kicking myself, especially as I advised some friends in how to get in and what to head for. I always got the impression that heading to the house it started getting a bit more dodgy, hence why I was saving that bit till last. Sadly things went a bit wrong. I know some newer explorers like the idea of getting caught and baiting security, but personally I would rather not get caught myself. But like you say your more limited now to were you can roam about.

Superb stuff mate. Loads to see here still and meticulously documented as always.
Thanks mate. Yeah I was quite happy I got quite a few buildings done. It's better than seeing nothing I suppose, I quite like the explosive works up here and it's now my third one.

Lovely atmospheric shots and a very nice control panel. If the faces of those metres were put back in it'd look top notch.

Yeh, just to the north west of the house there is/(was maybe) a couple of big sheds that seemed to be used as a kind of 'estates department' There was always tractors and stuff like that coming and going during the day presumably for maintaining the grounds and maybe even acting as the base for the decommissioning/decontamination work too as that was kind of separate entity to the house builders. Could never really make it passed that without ending in up having to retreat rather quickly when a JCB or something came roaring down the road towards us..

Ah I see, I did think that the nearer the house you get the more dodgy it gets. I wonder if it was the estates guys I see as they were in a JCB and the guy walking had a dog. But it was not a security type dog. It was a labradoodle type dog chasing a ball.
I definitely think you should do a report from your 2018 visit. It's a place I can never get bored of seeing, and so little is about since the earlier reports. And a few pics I have seen from friends in 2019 going there.
