Wow you have not moved on to mirrorless then. But the D850 is still such a highly respected camera. And the proof is right here.
No but I wish I did when I had the chance to be honest. Mine weighs a ton and I have to use a heavy tripod or it wobbles. It's an absolute killer to carry if you're covering some miles.

fooking lovely
Cheers :damp

fantastic report, we called this the lady in red mill for the fact that some mad Italian woman in the house attached came out and attacked me with a brush dressed in red...mad times, looking back I think they were squatters.
Haha I'm glad we didn't meet her. There was some fresh looking washing hanging up inside so there's definitely still people living in there.

Ah I see. I just thought you were using a Z line camera now. They are a bulky camera, but still much revered by many photographers. And it produces great images with good dynamic range. But I can imagine it is quite heavy carrying it exploring, especially if you have to carry a bulky tripod as well. My camera with my 8-16 lense attached is only about 300 grams more.

Top notch that, the sort of thing I'd expect to have seen on the cover of an urbex photo book from 10 years ago. Stunning building and machinery which makes for a very archaic look.

Glad it’s not just me who regrets lugging around a massive older dSLR

Lovely images, enjoyed this when we did it and yeah was funny watching Host getting beaten with a broom by the mad woman living next door after we'd bundled our way in, fun times.
proper step back in time place.

Was our first stop too, straight off the plane via a san pelly outlet and into derpotron.

Did you visit any of the other luxurious ex-spinning mills around this bit of eye-tie?

Not on this trip. Tried one near Turin a few years ago but it was fully sealed at the time. Good reason to go back :)
