Report - Slaley ROC Post - Northumberland - January 2015

I last visited Slaley 4 years ago and the T Bar was jammed so couldnt get in. Since then the lid is open however the counter-weight has detached from the shaft wall meaning the lid is very very heavy to lift, and doesn't stay open, which made things interesting. I was really pleased to see inside. Its a great post with loads left. The bunk beds still remain which is unusual for a 1991 closure. Unusually the surface structures are painted cream.
