before being knocked down, there was a large industrial estate on the bank of the river lea next to the bow flyover, covering a large area leading down to three mills studio, it was left empty for a very long time and was an amazing play ground back in the day, a range of semi industrial warehouses filled with hi-vis [dress up time] to chemical storage sheds filled with asbestos [my favorite] all the architecture was stunning being mostly redbrick Victorian esk, with such a large site you could be wandering round for hours without getting clocked, the building that i remember most was this ware house stacked up with boxes of canned soup, it was all out of date but rather tasty, its a dam shame its gone, r.i.p soup mountain
