The 22 storey St. Georges Tower has dominated the skyline of Leicester City Centre since the 1960s and has previously been used by the Post Office and British Telecom. Its refurbishment acting as the catalyst of the St. George’s area regeneration. The building needed new life and a dynamic approach was taken to its refurbishment and extension. Amongst many facilities the redevelopment contains 60 apartments, a leisure centre, 250,000sq.ft. of office accommodation and a hotel. In addition there are also 2 levels of basement car parking.the bottom floors are used by premier Inn now, the floors above are student accommodation..
