Cracking building. Well done for recording it. Such a shame it's not listed and will be lost after all these years. I guess times moves on and you can't save it all. Big fire there last weekend, suspected arson with two arrests I think it said.

is the story in the local press ? i,m going to try n swing by the place this week to survey the damage

Yes I can confirm that it is coming down and many of the features have thankfully been removed to be sold. I myself made a fine purchase which is currently filling the floor of my office!
Hello, can you please tell me where you purchased your souvenir item as I would dearly like something from this old Hotel/Pub before it's gone forever. As my Gt Grandfather used to drink here when he lived in Mason Street.
I would be very grateful if you could put me in touch with someone involved in its reclamation recovery or demolition as I would even be happy with a piece of stone work or even a brick from this historic building!

@urbanchemist got in touch with the demo people, but it was some time ago now. Apparently they have a reclamation yard but I've no idea where it is. I dont know what their company is called im afraid :(
