Don’t know what they’ve been doing? Seems whatever they’ve done has finished as no signs of any equipment and they’d blocked the access road at the top although huge sections have washed out.

Checking on the Radon gases and the bat population I believe.

That explains the little detectors on those wooden pegs lining the tunnel, I didn’t see any bats although I probably wasnt looking hard enough.

I couldn’t get anywhere near it unfortunately, Uni campus one side Hospice on the other all gated off
