The Ovenden brook is a tributary of the Hebble brook,
which merges beneath Dene Clough mills by Lee bridge.
there's 3 culverts along the route consisting of both concrete & stone or brick,
requires a lot of stooping while negotiating ankle breaking debris.
Old lane culvert
ruins of some building at the mid way point
Lee Bank culvert
above
below
Combined sewer outflow, (N F I drain).
wasn't gonna risk this because of the haze & having no 4 gas, oh & the stench was unbearable.
Lee bridge culvert
merging of the Ovenden & Hebble (right) brooks
thanks for viewing
