This was my first mine visited in England and first on that long mine weekend.
Visited with Oxygen Thief, whom I owe special thanks for that good weekend.
He made the whole thing running for me, was a good host and guide, gave me lots of informations and new knowledge on that kind of quarrying:
thanks a lot, good man
Some infos I found on this place, hope I am on the right site of works (works this say?)
"Browns Folly Mine is an average sized Bath Stone quarry which was originally part of Monkton Farleigh Mine however when the War Department converted part of the quarry in to an ammunitions store they separated part of the quarry which is the area now known as Browns Folly."

Entrance goes through a crawl called "Muddy hole" i think, which has fun of covering you with mud when passing, while the rest of the mine keeps you clean.
Other entrances are blocked with waste.
A pretty mine this is, nearly the nicest of my visit.
Army hanging around next door, luckywise they didn't know I'm German, revenge for Opa Fritz. (who only came till Paris)
so, let's go:
°1
°2
some nice rail in there
°3
what was this, the quarrymen and -women´s party pool?
°4
I tried to give it some other optic
°5
an interesting box in the wall; this was an animal cage I heared, not a good living,
°6
...locked with a stone plate
°7
°8
°9
the breakfast studio
°10
"Any man farting in this breakfast hole during meal times will be fined ? (/8: eigth part of a Shilling maybe)"
°11
impressions
°12
°13
°14
°15
the rockmove announcing timber
°16
thanks for looking, comments welcome, critics too
