I remember reading somewhere that this is supposedly one of the most contaminated brownfield sites in Wales which is why it's hung around so long while they argue about who was going to pick up the hefty bill for decontamination of the site - something in the order of £20 million is the estimated cost of just preparing the site.

Apparently it's still just the ovens being demolished. Not been myself but local enough to hear otherwise. Came across some old photos of when it was still in use ..
I visited in August 2022. Much of it is still there, got caught by secca but spoke to him and he said its unlikely mote will be demolished as there's some rare birds nesting in the main tower, and the land is too contaminated for housing.
