First of all I need to say a big thank you to @ash47 for helping me relocate this place!
History:
The core of Greenfield Court, a traditional, large detached house, was one in a row of dwellings built on Wetherby Road in the early 20th century.
Developed in 1978, the site grew to host over 50 apartments and bungalows which provided assisted living for the elderly.
They had an onsite catering team which provided residents with lunch and an evening meal seven days a week, as well as an onsite "Extra Care Team" which provided 24 hour services. The care complex closed on October the 13th 2018 and has remained derelict until plans were submitted to redevelop the site in 2020. All the residents were moved to The Cuttings, a larger Extra Care complex in Harrogate which cost £7.8 million to develop.
Like many locations, it was subject to multiple arson attacks and waves of vandalism which lead the site to be well sealed up.
The development was not completed when intended, but seems to have fished in 2023.
The Explore:
I don't recall much from this one, but I know the access wasn't the easiest and all but main building was fully sealed up due to vandalism.
Despite how trashed it was, there was quite a lot left left behind and some nice features.
Early map showing the original building before it was turned into a care home.
