History:
From 1 December 2017, ADHD services at hospital transferred to the Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. They are now responsible for providing all follow up appointments for children and young people who have been diagnosed with ADHD and an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) which were previously provided by Hayworth House. The buildings in this area of land in Chertsey are now closed - however there are some vacant buildings. The buildings consist of staff accommodation, administrative offices and some vacant buildings. In November 2017, the NHS submitted planning application to Borough Council for the redevelopment of the land which was approved in February 2019. Borough Council on 7th February 2019 issued planning consent for the redevelopment of the Hospital Healthcare Campus. This included approval of new housing for staff, a multi storey car park, central staff carpark and other facilities at the hospital

After seeing this hospital plastered all over Instagram and a little on Facebook - we jumped on the tour bus and had a mooch around this building. Shoutout to @LeeExplores for the access on this! As you can see this hospital is in very good condition however over the last few weeks it has been slightly trashed and things have been thrown about. It was like walking into a open clinic that had just been evacuated. Something what I found very interesting was how somebody had thrown a row of stickers all over the floor which made it look somewhat abandoned. There is some vandalism on the walls, there are some racist comments and explorers tagging their names everywhere.... The building obviously smelt of an open hospital basically. Some toilets stunk.... As we are talking about the toilets every time you walked past them the sensor light would go off and the toilet would be well lit. There is power obviously still on - down the iconic corridor the globed lights were on... that would make a cracking shot at night with those gorgeous lights. There was one corridor that looked really abandoned... The ceiling had fallen down and the light was hanging off by a wire and the floor was covered in the standard yellow roof insulation. I actually really liked this location. It was different to what I usually explore. I am not one for exploring buildings that are newly abandoned but this was an exception. Enjoy the pictures! Explored with my boyfriend and @Lewis Merrin .... we met some explorers in there to!
