it was graffited and tagged long ago, I have been visiting this site for years and slowly seen it get worse and worse.
Its locally known as the ice houses. and the food in the Rose Inn is spot on.
Also around here there are one or two (definitely one still open) mining tunnels from the pit, and also a lovely viaduct that used to be the main trainline too and from the pit.
I don't live in this area anymore but will definitely pop back when I visit the ends to see how its fairing up.
