History
Built in 1916 by Sir Alfred Gelder it is what I think to be a magnificent building. Finally closing in 2013 this building was a cinema, and a a church. Remnants of a church school can be found if you look hard enough. The building reverted into being a Methodist church in 1937.
The explore
The explore is actually really simple, especially when you know when to look. Getting into the building itself required a bit of slippery climbing in the wet but was overall fun. The state of this building now though is rather sad, it is really water damaged and lots of the original seating is gone and floor unstable in places. There must also be a foot high pile of pigeon shit in places it was rather disgusting. Some interesting parts of the building and pretty architecture in my opinion. Please forgive the bad pictures! In hindsight my ISO and aperture were all messed up, I might have to go back.
