Yeah I went by there yesterday and they have a board at the front showing progress photos for the inside. Looks like most of it is torn down. Shame but you can't expect these buildings to live long in cities especially.
Nothing ever really happened to it - a bit more strip-out, maybe, but mostly just ongoing deterioration. Still there now a decade or more on and just had a rather convenient fire in the one hitherto well-preserved (and still used) part of the building...
