There is hundreds of chapels like this across wales, tbh they are usually just kept quiet as they become wrecked very quickly

Usually it’s when a new entry is made and anyone can get into it, like a door is booted open or window smashed

Tbf with lots of the villages I passed through, they don’t really seem to enjoy many visitors especially not people who want to trash places

Like going through Llanelli all the abandoned places I could see were fairly well Kept besides the derps, you can tell they don’t want the attention

You can see how well they are kept when trying to get into them, most noteable buildings were very tricky to get into.

Kinda makes me feel bad about sharing these places but I can trust you lot won’t go trashing them.

Most of the really really nice ones are well looked after, and are usually keyholder jobs. I've spent entire days in Wales with massive lists of chapels and not managed a single interesting one because it's just pot luck.

Most of the really really nice ones are well looked after, and are usually keyholder jobs. I've spent entire days in Wales with massive lists of chapels and not managed a single interesting one because it's just pot luck.

This chapel is the first one I have been that is not trashed really, some damage but most the stuff is still there. Really does not help when pricks keep lighting them on fire, other 2 I went to were set ablaze apparently and all interesting stuff was burnt

Some councils do much more to prevent urbex than others, llanelli been doing a terrific job at boarding the council owned buildings with metal sheeting but we always find a way

Some History:
Siloah Independent Chapel was built in 1840 and enlarged/rebuilt in 1855 to the design of architect Thomas Thomas of Landore. The main gabled street front has a sophisticated design finished in render, with four giant attached classical columns (pilasters) capped by voluted or scrolled capitals in the Ionic Style. The chapel was enlarged/rebuilt again in 1904, to the design of arhitect David Jones of Llanelli. The current chapel, dated 1904, is built in the Classical Round-Headed style with a gable entry plan and Florentine-tracery window glazing. The building is Grade 2 listed.
The chapel flourished under the influence of
Thomas Rees, who quadrupled the amount of members for the small chapel, It operated until 2005 when it closed after years of decline
The Explore:
Entry was not a problem, there was some concern when a motion detector strobe light flashed in @A-DOG ‘s face but we did not spot any alarms, cameras or other motion sensors so we carried on.
Place was in suprisingly good condition, especially as the other chapels in the area were all basically ruined.

Turns out there were stairs leading up to the 2nd balcony, you just had to give the doors a little nudge, We were climbing up onto it from a table that managed to hold our weight!

The aforementioned extension, gives off a completely different feeling from the rest of the chapel

Overall?
A good explore, nearly never got to explore it as @RealBBNC was concerned for alarms and stuff , if they put a motion detector in there im suprised we didnt set off any alarms.. atleast not any loud ones

Excellent explore. Hope no-one minds me asking - do you happen to have an unpublished photo of the other side of the organ console? There's a website (National Pipe Organ Register) which documents pipe organs and there's no entry for this one. Would be good if you had a pic with the names of the stops (those things either side of the keyboards) visible, then this one could be documented before it's lost forever. No worries if not but worth an ask!
