Just a heads-up: Animated gifs can also be produced using Adobe ImageReady which was bundled with older releases of Photoshop

Well, as I say I was shooting for a star trail, the camera was plonked on the roof outside, so anything turning up in the GIF was basically a happy accident.

That GIF has 64 frames (each 30 second exposures), and this one below has around 70. I'll stick the trails in as well just for interest.
